Birthday Week

My view at the Four Seasons Baltimore pool

This post is about two weeks late, but I turned 29! That is a little scary to say out loud. I spent my actual birthday, which was a Tuesday, not working and lounging at the Four Season’s poolside for a little “me” time. It was so relaxing. The agenda consisted of lounging poolside, reading, eating, Whispering Angel and popping in and out of the spa. It was a wonderful distraction day. Afterwards, my fiancé surprised me and had my family waiting at our house for a rooftop dinner of crab cakes and rosé. It was a perfect day.

I was off to Boston the next day so the following weekend we spent in our favorite city, Annapolis. We spent most of our time shopping, eating and walking around looking at the boats (aka my fiancé scoping out which he is going to purchase).

We have tried so many delicious dinner spots in this town, but this time we went to dinner at a place called Vin 909 located in the Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis. I have been wanting to try it and it did not disappoint. Their pizzas are amazing! We got The Cubano, and their Butterscotch Pudding is out of this world!

The next day was primarily shopping downtown and then out for Crabs. My fiancé is not from Maryland so doesn’t exactly see the excitement and happiness that cracking crabs gives me, but he brings me anyway. Sometimes if he is lucky, I’ll even crack some for him. We went to Mike’s Crabhouse and enjoyed live music as we walked up and down the docks, waiting for our table. It was the perfect end to the weekend.
