Concertos and Cabins

This past Friday night, Haley and I went to the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall to see the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. They were performing a Beethoven show – Concerto 5 and Symphony Number 4. Growing up my family went to the symphony a good amount, so this was nice to bring back memories. I love classical music. The way it transforms you. It is so moving. Sometimes when I am alone in my car, I blare classical music (sharing a secret), and if I had to say my favorite piece of all time, it would be Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.

Pre-Symphony drinks at The Elephant, which I highly recommend.
Pen & Quill
After the show we went to Pen & Quill in Station North for dinner. It was delicious!

Saturday we headed to Camelback Resort in the Poconos for Haley’s brother’s birthday. Their family rented a cabin. It was fun being with his family, nieces and nephews and seeing their excitement with some of their first skiing experiences. We also got a preview for the freezing cold temperatures and snow that has now hit Baltimore. I am SO looking forward to where we are going this coming weekend and week – hint: it’s warm! Stay tuned!
