Last week we were in West Palm Beach for one of my best friend’s birthdays. We spent the long weekend lounging at her pool, going out to dinner and relaxing. We also started reading Find Her. Creepy, but I did not finish, so I need to continue. Is anyone else so good at reading while on vacay and then stop the books once they return home?! Hate that, and I usually finish the whole book on the trip, so HAVE to find time now. Anyway, we spent the weekend with her, her husband and some of her family who I am super close with. We have been going to her FL house for years, it is nice to go away to a familiar spot.
We spent Sunday on the water in Jupiter and cruised around Hobe Sound, where we topped the day off at The Square Grouper, a super-fun beach bar that we love, located on the marina.
She and her husband had to return to Maryland, so Haley and I stayed for a few extra days and went over to stay at The Breakers. I have been wanting to go there for a while now, so glad we made the trip and stayed. The property is gorgeous! The grounds are beautiful. All of the pools are so nice, and it has fantastic restaurants! We ate lunch at The Beach Club Restaurant, had drinks at Seafood Bar, where the actual bar was a fish tank and the entire restaurant looked as if you were dining inside a yacht! And then lastly, ate dinner at HMF, where for my Bravo fans, LuAnn De Lesseps and Tom sat right next to us! I almost sent them a bottle of champagne, despite my better judgement, but luckily Haley talked me out of it 😉
Thursday we headed to the Palm Beach International Boat Show. It was so big and the boats there were incredible. We walked around the marina for most of the day, looking at everything from smaller cruisers, center consoles to large 100 foot-plus yachts.
On our last night, we went for pre-dinner drinks at Cafe Boulud, which is located inside of the Brazilian Court Hotel, which is just stunning. It is tucked away on a residential street, but once inside, there are courtyards, fountains and lots of beautiful and fresh greenery. It’s very romantic. After drinks we went to an amazing dinner at Buccan. Our friends told us about it and we had heard great things. It was a trendy spot with small plates, fun music and a cool atmosphere. The food was delicious and I loved it.
