The Capital

Reflection Pool

This past weekend Haley and I went to Washington D.C. for a little weekend getaway. It’s so funny living in Baltimore, because we have the Nation’s capital in our back yard, but hardly go. It was so nice to be tourists; visiting the monuments, buildings, Cherry Blossom trees and all of the sites. We had dinner at Rose’s Luxury, voted one of the best restaurants in the US. It was amazing and so worth the wait! (They don’t take reservations).

After dinner we had to go check out the new MGM National Harbor, so headed there for some after-dinner gambling. Sunday we walked around Georgetown and had brunch. It was the perfect D.C. weekend, and close getaway from Baltimore.

Earlier in the week, I was in NYC, and I just had to share this photo of the Freedom Tower. It never gets old. As I was leaving dinner at Little Park, I snapped this. I also had meetings at the NeueHouse (a shared work space), and they have the absolutely BEST avocado toast I have ever had. I always have to get some when I am there. I got mine with lox this time.
